free download and album preview at the bottom

It’s been an incredible journey for Swedish post-rockers
Ef. Since forming in 2003 the young 5-piece have firmly established themselves as a pioneering voice in the global post-rock community – and with two critically acclaimed albums and an EP already under their wings, along with a reputation for breathtaking live shows, Ef is set to release its most monumental album yet.

Produced at Music-A-Matic studios in Sweden by Magnus Lindberg of Cult of Luna, “Mourning Golden Morning” showcases Ef’s awesome presence like never before. Weaving together strings, brass, guitars, percussion and vocals with heartfelt delicacy, the band delivers inspirational passages, performed and recorded live. The result is a glorious album that captures the essence of Ef and sends the listener on an unforgettable emotional journey.

“Mourning Golden Morning” will be released on April 5, 2010 in the UK through Shelsmusic. It will be supported with a full European tour, which will include dates in the UK in April and May.

The bands says:

“We don’t want to put too many thoughts in your head by explaining the music too much. We’d prefer to let you listen for yourself. “Mourning golden morning” is the result of a few friends, a few years older than last time, trying to tell some epic stories with as few words as possible, using sound instead to explore and release emotions. We feel this album is more focused and true to ourselves than anything we’ve ever done. We hope you enjoy it!”

ADMIRAL ANGRY UNLEASH NEW EP.

February 1, 2010

Hope you’ve had a kick ass start to the year. Now check this.

ADMIRAL ANGRY RELEASE NEW EP IN APRIL ON SHELSMUSIC
Forget being violated by a gang of Terminators… that was the last Admiral Angry record. There’s something far worse happening here. This is the Titanic… sinking. 200 feet and falling — the victims banging from inside the cold, heavy hull – twisted screams drowned out by the slow, grinding collapse – while God finishes off some left over pizza and tea-bags corpses on Halo!

2009 was a baptism of napalm for LA-based doomers Admiral Angry. Shortly before unveiling their blistering, and critically acclaimed debut album, “Buster”, the band tragically lost their guitarist and driving force Daniel Kraus to a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Determined to drive forward, the Admiral has dredged into filthier, doomier and more sinister new depths with “A Fire To Burn Down The World”.

Following closely Daniel’s vision for the release — the EP was recorded entirely live on tape — every step of the production using vintage analog gear and mastered for Vinyl release. The artwork was prepared by Daniel prior to his passing and will be presented in 300 limited edition vinyl copies only.
“A Fire To Burn Down The World” will be released through Shelsmusic on April 26 2010. Admiral Angry plan to follow the release with a run of European shows later this year. All proceeds from album sales will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis research and support.
