A Message From Latitudes.

June 5, 2009

Tomorrow we’re heading off to Foel Studios to record our first full length with producer Chris Fielding. We’ve spent the past few months writing intensively, honing our rifftastic rock produce to metallic perfection, and the new tunes are sounding MASSIVE. In recent months we’ve been joined in rehearsals by Rich Harper on keyboards, samples and other atmospheric nastiness. Rich has been an invaluable asset during the writing process, and his contributions to the new material are awesome.

We’ll be posting photos, updates etc on here in due course, with clips of new tunes surfacing at some stage also. Later.

Latitudes.

2. PARLIAMENT OF OWLS DEBUT ALBUM!

Closely resembling the timid and elusive creatures they share their name with, Parliament Of Owls would also prefer to sit unnoticed while transmitting gentle lo-fi lullabies into the noisy wilderness.

Utilizing short, delicate passages, Parliament Of Owls deliver an emotional and haunting debut in their debut album “Crow”. Opting for a modest recording setup – consisting of just a few computer mics, laptop, front room and a few bottles of wine – the result is a collection of intimate lullabies more like personal journal entries.

Although brief, every section of this debut connects with gentle yet piercing potency. A 2nd disc is provided courtesy of DJ/Producer ‘Cignol’, featuring electronic re-interpretations.

This extremely limited edition dual disc features over 75 minutes music and is set for a July 6th release through Shelsmusic – showcasing new artwork by Jimp, only 100 hand-made/numbered copies will be available via shelsmusic.com and as digital download only.
